The reflection on this axis has focused on the initiatives of economic innovation and the models of cities: the role of clusters and the poles of innovation; the relationship between university, company and government, the "Triple Helix"; the knowledge society, innovation, creativity and start-up; and the reflection on the frontier of the possibility of tourism and the services sector as economic motors of the cities.
