The Fundació Catalunya Europa promotes and organizes, with the support of the Abacus cooperative and the collaboration of the Education Department of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the 4th edition of the "What is Europe for you?" with the aim of bringing the European Union closer to young people and schools through creative and innovative teamwork and an interdisciplinary approach.
"What is it for you Europe" is aimed at students in upper secondary school, baccalaureate and intermediate and higher education. The award was born in 2021 to promote the inclusion of the European dimension in the learning process of compulsory and post-compulsory school, from a fun and stimulating way that can motivate both schools and students.
The aim is to help schools to deal more easily with the learning of the European theme at any of the ages contemplated and that this process can be carried out jointly and intertwined with students. " What is Europe for you?" is therefore a two-dimensional tool. On the one hand, to promote knowledge, the sense of European belonging and the democratic values that the EU represents. Also to serve as a resource for the artistic and critical expression of younger people, through a question with a totally free approach and interpretation.
This year the award includes three categories: photography, video and other artistic formats. Two prizes are foreseen for each category, consisting of an Abacus voucher worth €250.
Papers can be submitted in any of the three languages: Catalan, Spanish or English. There is no limit to the number of applications per school or student body.
It is necessary to submit all the documentation through the following form, which can also be found in the award rules.
The deadline for delivery of the works is Monday, April 8, 2024, included.
Bringing Europe closer to young people and making their eyes more visible.
