The Catalunya Europa Foundation opens a new call for awards and grants to recognize and promote academic work that help to preserve the academic, political or intellectual legacy of Pasqual Maragall and highlight its validity.
This year there are 3 categories:
- Legacy category: Aid to carry out work in the 12 months following the awarding of the prize. Endowed with €4,000. To submit a request, you must fill out a form HERE
- Master's Category: Prize for a final university master's thesis presented in the 2023-24 academic year. Endowed with €1,000. To submit a request, you must fill out a form HERE
- Degree Category: Award for a final university degree thesis presented in the 2023-24 academic year. Endowed with €1,000. To submit a request, you must fill out a form HERE
The three existing categories distinguish works that have as their object of study the areas of Pasqual Maragall's thought, work and political action, both in the historical dimension and in his current approach, and that duly justify it.
Preference will be given to the following areas of study:
- Local policies or metropolitan governance.
- The role of European citizens or local and regional bodies in European construction.
- Territorial cooperation in Europe and the Mediterranean.
- The territorial model in the State.
- The thought or action of Pasqual Maragall.
The deadline for submitting both applications and papers is Monday, July 15, 2024.
