The Catalunya Europa Foundation celebrates the first board meeting of 2024



This week, the board of trustees of the Catalunya Europa Foundation held its first meeting of 2024. The space was used to approve the budget and the work plan for the current year.

In a year with elections to the European Parliament scheduled for June 9, the Foundation emphasizes the dissemination of citizenship and European policies to foster a critical spirit and mobilize participation. Activities such as the presentation of the book "Pasqual Maragall and the Coming Europe" or the website "Europe Day" are in this line.

During the meeting, the board of trustees also claimed the role of the Foundation in Catalonia, as custodian of the legacy of Pasqual Maragall and the Board of Trustees committed itself to social and environmental progress and the improvement of self-government in Catalonia and the necessary Catalan involvement in European construction.

The meeting was also an opportunity to welcome the new members who have recently joined:

Eva Anduiza Perea

Professor of Political Science at the UAB and ICREA Acadèmia researcher. He directs a research group in Democracy, Elections and Citizenship.

Mireia Gonzalez Antó

She is an advisor in Communication with a postgraduate degree in Communication Techniques and Media and collaborates in various media. She is currently the president of the Castell del Remei Foundation in Lleida.

Júlia Miralles de Imperial

Graduated in Political Sciences and Law at the UAB where she is an associate professor. He has specialized in anti-corruption and transparency policies.

Jordi Muñoz and Mendoza

He holds a doctorate in Political and Social Sciences from the UPF, associate professor at the UB and ICREA Acadèmia researcher. He currently directs the Center for Opinion Studies (CEO).
