Javier Martínez-Cantó wins the 'Llegat Pasqual Maragall 2018' Research Aid



Javier Martínez-Cantó has won the IV Grant for Research "Llegat Pasqual Maragall 2018" with a project titled "Partidism and (of) federal loyalty in the Spanish autonomous state" that aims to analyze in what way the political parties that are part of the The central government uses this fact to strengthen its political position in the autonomic arena. Martínez-Cantó is a doctoral researcher in philosophy and political science at the German University Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg and has also been a visiting researcher at Princeton University.

The winning project has been chosen from among 19 candidatures for a jury formed by members of the academic board of the Fundació Catalunya Europa, Josep Maria Vallès and Borja de Riquer; Marta Cruells as representative of the Barcelona City Council and Pere Almeda, as representative of the executive commission of the Foundation.

The winner will have one year to develop the project submitted to the research aid that has a budget of € 8,500. In addition, the foundation undertakes to work for the publication of the research.
