"I per què no? El retorn de la bicicleta a Barcelona (1977-1997)" proposes to explore the evolution of bicycle use in Barcelona between 1977 and 1997, a period in which the cultural and social significance of cycling was transformed. The research also analyzes the interaction between social movements and institutional actors during this period. In short, the return of the bicycle to the streets of the city is analyzed as a process of political negotiation for the uses of public space.
