What is the impact that the technological revolution will have on our societies? And specifically, in social inequalities? This is the main issue that Manuel Castells addresses in the seventh session of the circle of conferences on inequalities. In the first place, Castells clarifies in which areas technology contributes most to generate today's inequalities, which are cultural, educational and work-related. Castells also explains in detail the digital division of the richest and poorest of societies, and the impact of artificial intelligence in the workplace, destroying employment and creating many new ones. The main problem of the technological revolution according to Castells, is that institutions do not move at the same pace. It is necessary to create dialogue and social cooperation in order to regulate the digital transition together with an educational, political, social and cultural transition.
