The European Union is in transition: a demographic, political and leadership transition. the socio-economic consequences of globalization and the growing inequality that has been installed in the post-crisis EU have eroded social cohesion and the sense of belonging to the Union. By 2019, the political scene has become even more complex. This working paper of the journalist and researcher, Carme Colomina, aims to provide the keys to the change that the European project lives, identifying the most urgent challenges ahead of the new institutional cycle in the Union.
